MTR overview
MTR (was MacTheRipper)--the Mac's oldest and smartest DVD-backup app.
- MTR - the complete toolbox, not a one-trick, point-and-click extractor. MTR is intended for making fair-use, backup copies of discs which you've purchased legally.
- Four Extraction Modes: the ISO image, Rip&Rebuild (RnR) for VTS-level editing, Main Feature, and the specialized Batch Title Extraction. In addition, there are five error-correction modes. Edit bad cells before the rip - not afterwards - with RnR. (There's always another way to peel this grape!)
- For challenging discs, a stand-alone application DVDProbe, for deeper analysis before (not during) extraction. Available in all Extraction modes.
- Multiple, simultaneous extractions with chained DVD drives. Each extraction with its own Mode, settings, and save location. (This feature requires at least 2GB of the machine memory.)
- A top-to-bottom rewrite of the entire application code for maximum efficiency.

I am running the latest version (5.409) on OS Monterey 12.6.4. It's working fine. Great app. Have been using it since 2009.

I haven't purchased the current version of MTR. Before doing so I'd like to know if it works on my Mac running OS Ventura (13.2).

How long is it taking to get e license once the product is installed ? I just discovered the compatibility problem with the version of 5 that I have, I have followed the steps. But have not head back. It could be I am expecting a reponse too soon. Or maybe I need to donate again. I am not sure. The product never failed to do the job when I was using it regularly.

Hey guys,
I was going to try this app, but I have questions about how to obtain a license. I'm willing to send a donation to pay, but is joining the forum required just to buy the app? I really don't use forums unless I have to. So, If I can simply send a donation to the developer to pay for the software I would prefer that route. Since I primarily use Blu-ray now, I typically just stick to MakeMKV. And, I don't think MTR is for Blu-ray anyway.
If someone could clarify on the purchase though, I would appreciate it. According to the site I read from the help menu, the forum requires proof of support, which I don't have, since I haven't needed to use the software.

MTR doesn't work on my macOS High Sierra. It seems that there is a problem with its compatibility. Then, I downloaded the old version 2.6.6, it was not available. Finally, I downloaded Cisdem Video Converter. It helped me decrypt the DVD and backup it on my Mac.
